Applications of BBa_K322210
Characterisation of the activity of the cat BioBrick:
Cell lines containing cat in pSB1A2 (red boxes) grew on both ampicillin (100mg/ml) chloramphenicol (40mg/ml) whereas cell lines containing a pSB1A2 control (Edinbrick, blue boxes) only grew on ampicillin (100mg/ml). This experiment confirms that cat is effective as a negative selection marker within the BRIDGE protocol.
